...there will be a compelling storyline around the champion of this tournament.

If Tim or Danny win they will tie Jesse for 11 wins - the most of all time.

Can Jose, a 3-time champ, come back after a yearlong layoff and match Bob's 4 titles? This would tie Jose with Bob for the 4th most titles.

All of the other former champions that are competing have 2 wins each. A victory by any of them would tie them with Jose for the 5th most titles.

And of course, we could have a new champion! Q, Nizzi, Pedro, Fletcher, Travis, Anthony, and Brian are the most likely new champs. However there have been breakout performances before by lesser known players.

No matter how it shakes out, it should be very entertaining.

Excellent review of the ah drama ready to unfold. Surely the Finals will hosts one of these names, and probably two of them!

Another fascinating possibility: Jose and Pedro in the Finals for the fourth time!

I truly believe that we will have one of the following repeat champion this weekend.

Billy is playing great.
Danny is almost back to his old self.
Ehab can beat everybody but Danny and is in the same bracket as Danny.
Tim finished 5th last time and this time he has been practicing.
Wil can never be counted out.
Davis is still one of the best.

The up and comers:

Brian : great offense but defense lacks at times against the above players.
Jose: no practice at all.
Pedro: hard to imagine a player gone for 10 years to come back and win. But I do think he is going to finish top 10.
Q, Keith, Anthony, Travis, Nizzi are all great players but a level below the top 5.

The main thing I am looking forward to is the great match-ups we will have.

If all goes to plan and Nizzi plays we can see the following ( I think):

Brian vs Javier - upset alert
Pedro vs Keith - rwo versus rwo
Tim vs Nizzi
Q vs Davis
Jose vs Q/Davis
Tim/Nizzi vs Danny
Ehab vs Wil

I would love to see Billy vs Jose if they keep winning
